Welcome to my homepage!

I am a Finnish Lutheran pastor, Doctor of Theology and currently free researcher. I live and work in Kontiolahti, Finland, in the midst of the forests of Northern Carelia.

As a theologian I have focused on Latin American liberation theology, especially its spirituality; feminist and ecofeminist theologies; and ecotheology. I earned my doctorate in theology at the University of Joensuu (now University of Eastern Finland) in 2005 with a dissertation on Ivone Gebara's ecofeminism (published in Finnish).

Currently I focus on Finnish nature spirituality and its relationship with the Christian tradition. I other words, I sketch "Forest Theology".
